SENIOR PETS 4 SENIOR FOLKS
This is a non profit group whose goal is to support seniors and those
with limitations or disabilities in their pet ownership. We will either support
the person with their existing pet,or provide a pet that would meet their
limitations. This serves to provide homes for pets with limitations such as age
or mobility. Out goal is to match the type of dog or cat to the appropriate
new prospective person or family.
OUR MISSION.
The group will work with Hospice and with folks facing end of life decisions.
To reassure them they will not have to worry as to what will happen to their
pet. They are facing their own mortality and feel that this will be their last
canine companion. It's not that they no longer want them in their lives.
They worry what will become of them when they are gone. These are
the only pets we will shelter until a loving placement can be found.
Other pets for placement will come from existing shelters and rescue agencies.
FOSTER HOME
A temporary holding place for dogs that are to be adopted.
To become a Foster Parent is also ideal for a person who would enjoy
a pet with out the long commitment. There is no cost involved for a
vet or food because the Rescue pays for these expenses.
SNOW BIRDS
They too can foster for specific duration with no responsibility beyond
the time promised. These homes will provide a safe haven from the
cold concrete kennel or worse, euthanasia.
BONUS TIME WITH A SENIOR PET
They have learned many of lifes lessons. They know shoes are for walking.
Socks sometimes are for used for tossing if they can get away from it with
out getting caught.
Bones are for chewing.
They are mellowed out so they can focus on life and anything you may
want to teach them.
Dogs learned that if you give love they will give that back.
Adult dogs have grown into their size,shape and personality.
There is no guessing game.
WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.
They are not time consuming.Human scheduling they adjust well.
Just think That means no night feedings,potty breaks or comforting.
SAVE A LIFE
Adopting an adult animal is the way.They are not abandoned
or released to a shelter because they have problems,but
because their human parents have the problems.
OUR GOAL.
To achieve less suffering for the pets,more support
of our senior and disabled population in a way that is
scientifically proven to have benefits---Pet Ownership.

Help of any type to assist us for our cause.
Pet Angels
Each pet that is placed will have a protective
"angel" to follow up on the placement. The Angel will call or visit as needed to determine the type of follow
up deemed appropriate.
They will befriend the person and protect the pet.
We are in dire need of volunteers.
As my friend said "sneeze" to spread the word of
our commitment.
